93, Indianapolis, passed away June 18, 2011. Adele was born in New Haven, Connecticut in September 1917 to Francis and Janina Strojewska Celmer. She married Gerard F. Schmitt, Sr., in 1941. They lived in Barrington, New Jersey, Indianapolis, and North Fort Meyers, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband and six siblings. She is survived by their son, Gerard F. "Rick" Schmitt, Jr., and his wife, Suzanne, of Zionsville, IN and a brother, Stanley Celmer of New Haven, CT.
