Allen L. Herring

73, of Pittsboro, passed away on October 28th, 2026. Allen was born in Indianapolis to his parents Maurice and Constance (Hummel) Herring on January 8th, 1953. During his professional career, Allen was owner and operator of Allen Aquarium Service and former manager of Speedway Pet Shop. His love and exuberance for motorcycles, pets, friends, and family was shared with all of those around him. Allen eventually retired in 2018, giving him more time to enjoy life on his motorcycle, traveling, and time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was also a proud member of the American Motorcycle Association and spent many years riding and racing.

Allen is survived by his beloved wife Jennifer Herring; children Nicholas (Allison) Herring and Diana (Nathaniel Solaka) Herring; siblings David Herring, Morris Herring, and Bonnie McAtee; cherished grandsons Hunter, Noah, and Owen Herring.

Visitation will take place from 3 pm to 6 pm on Thursday, November 5th at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. A funeral service will be there on the following day Friday, November 6th at 11 am.
