Alma Lucene (Lucy) Springer, age 85, passed away on Oct. 5, 2014. She was a long-time member of Connection Pointe Christian Church and a celebrated wife, mother and friend. Lucy was born on Dec. 29, 1928 in Beech Grove to Lawrence Royal and Jennie Armenta Moody. She is survived by her husband David Shore Springer whom she married on May 20, 1950. Preceding her in death were 2 of her siblings Robert Eugene Moody and Erma Geraldine Kelsey. Her sister Francis Eilene Rains survives. She leaves behind a legacy of family: her children Jennie Ann Summerlot, Rebecca Deane Beck, Dawn Marie Springer and William (Debbie) Springer; grandchildren Jefferson Beck, Hillary (Chris) Rico, Walter Thomas Beck III, Morgan Springer and Audrey Springer; great grandchildren Raven and Sergio Rico. Visitation will be 3-7 pm Wed. Oct. 8 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services at 10 am Thurs. Oct. 9. Burial at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
