Anna L. Maines

85, Brownsburg, passed away June 3, 2020.   She was a registered nurse and worked at Methodist Hospital for many years, retiring in 1994.  A woman of faith, she was active in several local area churches.  She was the first female deacon at the New Life Assembly Church and served at the PTA president at the Valley Mills Elementary School from 1974-75.  Her husband James Maines preceded her in death in 1978.  She is survived by her son Mark Maines and his wife Alina Maines.  Visitation will be from 12 pm to 2 pm Monday June 8 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 2pm.  Burial will immediately follow in Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery, Whitestown.
