Obituary

Anna Regina Van Krimpen was born on Sept. 25, 1924 in Gary, IN. She passed away at age 90 on Dec. 17, 2014 in Brownsburg, IN. A long-time resident of Calumet City, IL, Ann was a WAC during WWII. She married Fredrick Russell Starks on Jan. 1, 1950. They were married 60 years until his death. Ann was a piano teacher and director of handbell choirs at First Presbyterian Church in Hammond, IN. She is survived by her son, Fredrick C. (Joy) Starks; daughter Nancy Starks (Charles Goolsby); two grandchildren Katie Starks and Fredrick (Laura) Starks; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Anna Van Krimpen, her husband Fred, brother Ferdinand, and a sister Pearl (Ralph) Hooton. Funeral services will be 7pm Thurs. Dec. 18 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation from 6-7pm. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the bell choir at Calvary United Methodist Church, Brownsburg.
