Audra Helen (Burnett) Corn

age 93, passed away on December 14, 2018, at Legacy Lane on Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle, IN. Audra was born to George and Emma (Henager) Burnett in Oakland City, Indiana, on October 2, 1925. She loved being the older sister to Imogene and Sharon. Audra was married to the love of her life, Forrest Corn, Jr. for 64 years. They had two children, Larry and Deana, and were longtime residents of Brownsburg, Indiana. Many knew Audra from the Hollett & Harmon Drug Store, where she worked for over 30 years. She especially enjoyed working behind the soda fountain. Audra became a member at Bethesda Baptist Church in 1956, and was a faithful Sunday School teacher there for 24 years. Her hands were always busy cooking for family, crocheting and knitting blankets, and sewing beautiful quilts. Her family will never forget her laugh and feisty spirit. Audra was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, and husband. She is survived by her children, Larry (Judy) Corn and Deana (Bob) Gray; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five nieces; and five nephews. A time of visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 20, at Matthews Mortuary, 690 E. 56th Street, Brownsburg, Indiana. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.
