Barbara J. Compton

79, Brownsburg, passed away on January 17, 2022.  She was born on April 7, 1942 as the middle daughter of the late Dorothy and Johnny Madden.  She was preceded in death by her sisters Joan Collins and Donna Madden.   She was married to the late Jack Compton in 1968 and was married 41 years before he died on April 9, 2010.  Survivors include her sons James (Lisa) Green of Reelsville, John Green of Reelsville; stepson Ron (Marcia) Compton of Crawfordsville; grandchildren Heather (Anthony), Blake (Jennalee), Brandon (Taylor), Dillon (Hope) Green; nine great grandchildren; two step granddaughters, Cheryl (Chris) Mooday, Ann Whitcotton; four step great grandchildren.  She worked for AUL-One America for 20 years in the Life Claims area retiring in January of 2009.  She loved getting together with her family and friends and always put out flowers in the spring.  Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Tues. Jan. 25 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services at 1 pm.  Burial will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery.
