Barbara A. Rothenberger
age 77, Brownsburg, joined her Lord and Savior on Sept. 11, 2011, after a courageous battle with kidney disease. "Bobbi", as her friends and family know her, was a lifelong resident of Brownsburg and resided in an area south of Brownsburg that was part of her grandparent's homestead. Barbara retired from US Department of Census where she worked for nearly 25 years. She attended Church @ Main in Brownsburg. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Velma and Walter Hufford, her loving husband Donald L. Rothenberger, and a son Donald, who died at birth. Barbara and Don were high school sweethearts and were married just over 50 years. She immensely missed Don following his death in Sept. of 2002 but continued with the things they loved such as studying the word of God, traveling, and being with her kids and grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her daughter Vicki Kitterman, her son David (Susan), her daughter Lisa Roark (Ted), and her daughter Christy Miller (Tim). Barbara has 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Visitation will be from 4-7pm Tues. Sept. 13 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 2pm Wed. Sept. 14. Burial will be at Brownsburg Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Church @ Main.
