Barbara Ann Wilburn

87, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 21, 2023. She was born to the late Earnest Clinton Nester and Mary Helen Nester Neeley in Bridgeport, Indiana on March 26, 1936. She was the oldest of 7. She was known for her hospitality, love for others, and her good food (especially rolls and desserts)!

She will be missed by her 4 children: Donna (Conway) Hendrix, Vicki (Tim) Gladson, John (Quintanna) Wilburn, and Mark (Rachel) Wilburn; her 7 grandchildren: Nathan (Lisa) Wilburn, Ashlee (Matthew) Johnston, Alissa Gladson, Amber (Jonathan) Brown, Matthew (Shauni) Wilburn, Brooke Gladson, and Andrew (Molly) Wilburn; her 10 great-grandchildren, Kasie, Brady, Owen, Simon, Jordan, Piper, Gwen, Judson, Calvin, and Sullivan; her brother, Bill Nester, sister, Nancy (Harry) Poe and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by Kenneth, her husband, brother, Don Nester, and sisters: Phyllis Wylie, Debbie Davis, and Helen Louise Neeley.

A private graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield, IN, where she will be laid to rest. Contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association www.lbda.org in her memory.
