Basil M. Callahan

96, Avon, passed away on May 8, 2023. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. Basil was an electrician for Indianapolis Power and Light for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife Freeda Callahan; parents Leroy and Ada Callahan; brother William Callahan. Survivors include his daughters Belinda Beisel, Debra Larson, Dona White, Tammie Tilson, Mona Callahan; 11 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Thurs. May 11 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1:30 pm. Entombment will be in Floral Park Cemetery.
