Betty Jean (Francis) Jaynes, 94, of Brownsburg, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021.

She was born on August 11, 1926, to Rosa and Rolla Francis. She married Harold K. Jaynes, and they had two children – Lynn and Vicki. Betty worked until the age of 84 for the Brownsburg Community School Corporation as a Bus Aide. She loved her interactions with both the students and her work colleagues. She had been a long-time member of Calvary United Methodist Church and was a Girl Scout Leader, Band Box Mom, and volunteered in many other activities. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, antiquing, and helping others. Betty will be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, the late Harold K. Jaynes, her sister, Marjorie Cloncs, and her parents.

Survivors include her two children: Vicki Jackson, Lynn (Karon) Jaynes; grandchildren: Whitney (Charles) Swain, Erin (Grant) Curry, Tiffany (Johnson) Jaynes-Black; her beloved sisters: Barbara Pierucki, Marilyn Plasters; great-grandchildren: Preston Curry, Gavin Curry, David Swain, Amelie Jaynes-Black.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 575 W. Northfield Dr., Brownsburg. Memorial contributions can be made to Calvary UMC at her memorial service or online at www.calvaryunited.org .
