Bobby D. Russell, 82, of Brownsburg, Ind. passed away Aug. 13, 2017. He was born May 5, 1935 in Allen County, Ky. He married the love of his life July 25, 1959. Bobby served in the Navy and was a successful timber buyer, founding Quality Veneer. He was an avid golfer, achieving four holes-in-one. Bobby was also a skilled bridge player, earning the ABCL Silver Life Master Award, and founding and managing the Westside Bridge Club for many years. He spent his life devoted to his faith, family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley (Gillock) Russell; children, Carla Cassell, Mark (Erika) Russell and Angie (Chris) Volk; grandchildren, Nikki (Jake) Richards, Amanda Cassell, Leigh (Ronald) Anderson, Erik Russell, Kirsten Oholorogg, Bradley Russell, Jacob and Joshua Volk and two great-grandchildren, Jonathan Richards and Gwendolyn Anderson. Bobby is also survived by his brother, Elvis (Callie) Russell and nephew Stacy (Rindy) Russell. A visitation will be held Wed. Aug. 16 from 11 am - 1 pm immediately followed by a funeral service at 1 pm at Connection Pointe Christian Church, 1800 N Green St, Brownsburg, IN 46112.
