Bonnie J. Riggs
97, passed away peacefully on Aug. 2, 2013. She was born in Logan, IN to Hollie and Ella Swales on July 22, 1916. She married John Riggs and lived in New Castle, IN. Her husband died in 1947, and she came to Indianapolis to live with her son, Ricardo, Sr. Bonnie loved to sew, doing puzzles, and playing cards especially Euchre and Bridge. She was a member of Crossroads Volunteer for 25 yrs. She worked for Kodak in New Jersey and then transferred to Indianapolis. Bonnie is survived by her son, Ricardo Sr. (Sandra); 2 grandchildren Ricardo Jr. (Michelle) and Robyn Gehrich (Ed); and 6 great grandchildren Amber, Courtney, Maverick, Austin, Brian, and Steven. She also had 3 great great grandchildren, Jaden, Tanner, and Karsyn. She enjoyed being with her family very much. She had a brother, Robert Swales, and a sister, Faye Swales Emminger, who preceded her in death. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Tues. Aug. 6 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Private interment services will be Wed. in New Castle, IN.
