Brenda D. Foist

71, of Brownsburg, passed away on August 19th, 2026. Brenda was born as the only daughter out of six in Lebanon, Indiana to her parents Keith and Phyllis (Smith) Foist on December 13th, 1954. As an adult, Brenda went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force, retiring from the reserve after 12 active years. She eventually earned her Bachelor’s degree and led a long, respected career as an electrician with Lone Star. In her earlier years, Brenda was known as an avid softball player who loved any good competition. Anyone who knew Brenda also knew of her love for walking in nature. One of her biggest accomplishments was hiking the entire 2,190 mile Appalachian Mountain Trail alongside her dear friend, Marline.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Tim Foist, Allen Foist, Ross Adam Foist, and Todd Foist. Brenda is survived by her beloved husband David Naugler; stepson Sam (Tina) Naugler; brother Braxton (Patricia) Foist; nieces and nephews Dustin, Abigail, Todd Jr., and Samuel Isaac.

Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26th from 3 pm to 5 pm at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Brenda will later be laid to rest in Brownsburg Cemetery.
