Brett Wayne Wagner

56, Avon, unexpectedly met his Saviour on March 19, 2025.  He was a faithful member of Crosspointe Baptist Church where he served in the Children's Ministry and the Security team. He assisted with the teen ministry in the early 2000's as a sponsor and bus driver and mentored many teens even beyond the youth group. Brett proudly served in the Air Force from 1990 to 1992.  He worked in the HVAC industry for over 30 years, most recently employed with Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling.

Brett was preceded in death by his father, James Wagner.  Survivors include his wife, Melissa Wagner; sons Aaron Kenneth-James (Fiancée Christina) Wagner, Braydenn Michael-Brett Wagner, Coltenn Ryan-Wayne Wagner; daughters Phylicia Wagner, Logan Wagner; mother Karon Faye Wagner; brothers Gregory James (Robin) Wagner, Todd Michael Wagner; sister Dawn Nicole Wagner.

Brett was a loving, devoted husband to his wife of almost 29 years. He was a loyal husband, father, brother, and son. He loved his children dearly and was proud of each one.  His second love was basketball in all aspects. He was ultracompetitive as a player, coach, and supporter of his sons. In his free time, he enjoyed detailing his cars, shopping for new kicks, and awaiting his next Amazon delivery. Most evenings in the summer, you could find him playing basketball and hanging out at the pool with friends.  He was always willing to help church members with any HVAC needs due to his knowledge and experience.

Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm Thursday, March 27 at Crosspointe Baptist Church, 220 Country Club Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46234, with funeral services there at 10 am Friday, March 28.  Burial will be in Lizton K of P Cemetery.
