Brook Alan Ferguson

After a long struggle with heart failure, Brook Alan Ferguson, 61, passed into the presence of His Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 31, 2023.  Brook was born in Monticello, Indiana, and grew up in Marion, Ohio, where he graduated from Ridgedale Highschool in 1979.  He was also a graduate of Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Brook enjoyed traveling for several years, and then settled in Indianapolis where for the past 25 years he was manager and "Chef-Boy-R-Dude" at Weebles Bar and Grill in Indianapolis. Brook is preceded in death by his father, Darrell (Buddy) Ferguson; grandparents, O. D. (Bud) and Ethel Ferguson; and Bill and Juanita (Freeman) Fields. He is survived by Mena Hawkins of Indianapolis; his mother Marietta Ferguson of Avon; a sister Angie (Alan) Harris of Foley, Alabama; nephews Alex (Ellain) Harris, Anthony Harris, and Andrew (Melissa)Harris; and a great nephew Zion Harris.  He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins in the Anderson, Ferguson, Wilson, and Freeman families.

Funeral services will be at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg, Indiana at noon on Wednesday, June 7, with visitation from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Brook's brother-in-law, Rev. Alan Harris, will officiate. Burial will follow at the Bethesda Cemetery in Brownsburg.
