Surrounded and loved deeply by her family, Brooke Anne (Dougherty) Tague (44) went to her Heavenly Home on June 30, 2023 ending her battle with cancer.
Brooke was born on May 31st, 1979 in Indianapolis IN. She attended Elementary School and Middle School in Avon, IN and High School at Bethesda Christian School from where she graduated in 1997. She continued her higher education at Indiana University- Purdue University in Indianapolis, where she earned her degree in K-12 Elementary Education and Special Education. She began her teaching career in Avon, Special ED, but soon dedicated herself to educating her own family, and helping others in this endeavor. She also taught English to foreign students online for many years. Brooke served as the Board President for New World Youth Orchestra, she was also involved with the Indiana Ballet Conservatory and the Ballet Theater of Carmel.
Brooke met Aaron Tague of Brownsburg, whom she married on August 14, 1999. They were married 24 years and have three children; Asher Tague 21, Eden Tague 19, Nisha Tague 17.
Brooke was passionate about serving the Lord through helping and loving others. She was involved in a local food service ministry to homeless. She gave time, talent and resources to those who needed it. Her heart went out to the elderly, the outcasts and especially to children. She had a true gift of gently teaching and guiding them.
Her biggest passion was that of pouring into her children. She and Aaron have dedicated their lives to raising Godly people and helping them pursue their gifting's and interests. They are all three, accomplished in cello, violin, and ballet respectively, but their greatest gift is being loving, caring people who know their God. Brooke...."Well done, good and faithful servant". Brooke was preceded in death by Adam Dougherty, Brother and Norman & Dorothy Keith, Grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Aaron Tague, children; Asher, Eden, Nisha Tague; Parents; Bill & Katrina Dougherty; Aunts Stephanie (Dave) Hubele, Pam KeithLawrence, Uncle Don Dougherty (Shirley) and many cousins.
A Memorial Reception will be held on Saturday, July 15th at Brooke's Church home, Bread of Life Ministries, 7510 East County Road 100 North, Avon IN from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
In honor of Brooke's memory, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Youth with a Mission. Donations can be made to Bread of Life Ministries - w/YWAM notation.
