Byron R. Nugen
Age 67, Brownsburg, passed away Jan. 1, 2015. He had been a claims adjudicator for Indiana Workforce Development, retiring in 2007. Previously he worked for Gleaners Food Bank and was a reading teacher at the Marion Co. Juvenile Detention Center. He was a graduate of Indiana University. He was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi and the Dunreith Christian Church. An avid Colts fan, he had tickets since they came to Indianapolis, missing only three games before becoming ill. Survivors include his wife Janet Nugen; brother Larry Joseph Nugen (Vickie); niece and nephew Alexandra and Tyler Nugen. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Thurs. Jan. 8 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1pm. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gleaners Food Bank
