Obituary

Carlos G. Snider, age 71, Danville, was born in Carmi, Illinois, but spent most of his formative years in Evansville, IN. He served in the U.S. Army, receiving an honorable discharge in 1968. He put himself through college, graduating in 1973 from Indiana State University (now USI) in Evansville with a Bachelor of Science degree. Carlos had a career with Marathon Oil, supervising and assisting in the building of and operations of terminals in Indiana, Wisconsin, Florida, and even Africa. He owned and operated a Serv-Pro business in Brownsburg and surrounding areas after leaving Marathon. From there, he began a career driving semi's for UPS, until he retired in 2011. Throughout all those years Carlos also ran his own side maintenance, helping many local property owners and businesses. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Brownsburg and loved the Lord his entire life. Carlos touched so many lives in so many ways. He had a friendly smile, a loving heart, and a deep love of Christ. He loved his family with all his heart. He cherished his friends and viewed them as true brothers and sisters. He worked hard to provide for all he knew and loved, for he wanted no one to suffer or want for anything. Carlos gave all to those around him. He wants to be remembered as: a son, a brother, a soldier, a husband, a father, but most importantly a child of the King. Saved by King Jesus! As he put it: Mission Accomplished! He would like loving donations made to: Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org/donate or American Cancer Society www.cancer.org . He always quoted an old saying he heard: "See ya at the House"! He was preceded in death by parents Roy and Hilda Snider; brothers Don and Lonnie Snider and nephew Donnie Ray Snider. Survivors include his wife Debra Snider; son Kensey (Adelle) Snider; stepchildren Shannon (John) Keating and Neil (Dawn Marie) Woodall; granddaughters Quin Hux and Cameron Woodall; niece Lisa (Randy) Neisen; great nieces and nephew Natalie, Nicole, and Nathan. Funeral services will be 1pm Mon. Oct. 22 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation there from 11am to 1pm. Burial will be at Bethesda Cemetery.
