Carol (Kissel) Davis

79, Brownsburg, passed away March 23, 2024.  Carol was the daughter of Kasper and Frances (Cook) Kissel.  She was the mother of Rachel (husband Brent) Bowen and Lachelle (husband Mike) Maurer, Grandmother of Clint, Tyler, and Seth Bowen, and Brett, Blair, and Drake Maurer, sister of Marilyn Bowers, Donna Martin, Bob (wife Francie) Kissel, Joyce (husband Mark) Harper and aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom survive her.  She was predeceased by her parents and her brother-in-law Keith Bowers.  Carol was a graduate of New Palestine High School.  She was a Hancock County 4-H member and then became a Hendricks County 4-H leader.  She was also involved in various church activities and was a volunteer for several organizations.  Carol especially enjoyed sewing and created many special quilts for her family over the years.  Visitation will be from 1 pm to 2:30 pm Thurs. Mar. 28 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 2:30 pm.  Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery.
