Carolyn B. Parent

78, Brownsburg, formerly of Solon, OH, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2021. Carolyn was preceded in death by her best friend and husband of 51 years, David Parent. She was also a devoted mother to three, mother-in-love to three, and Granny to eight. Carolyn's daily goal was to choose joy every day and she most found her joy in her family and friends. Survivors include children David (Alicia) Parent, Craig (Amy) Parent, and Lisa (Keith Rossell); eight grandchildren: Ben, Jackson, Owen, Elliott, Lily, Meg, Craig, and Logan; and brother Louis (Barbara) Body IV. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis Body III and Margaret Steele and stepfather John Steele. Carolyn's cousin Janie (Randy) Hunter was raised as a sister and Carolyn was also blessed with five stepbrothers and sisters. Carolyn was a longtime elementary school teacher and an avid crafter, stamper, and custom card maker. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Brownsburg. Memorial services will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 575 W. Northfield Dr., Brownsburg, IN 46112, with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service.
