Cecil R. Herald
Age 84, Brownsburg, passed away Jan. 9, 2011. Cecil was born Jan. 20, 1926 in Bowling Green, KY. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He owned Glenwood Gulf at 62nd and Allisonville for many years. He retired from McLean Trucking after 30 years of service and belonged to Teamsters 135. He loved to travel, enjoyed sports and gardening. He is survived by his loving children; Vickie (Mark) Endicott, Cumberland, IN, Douglas (Sandy) Herald of Taylorsville, KY and Scott (Ellen) Herald of Pittsboro, IN, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Lillian VanMeter and brother, James Herald. His loving wife Edna Herald and his sons, Paul and William preceded him in death. Services will be 11 am Fri, Jan.14, at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg with visitation there from 4-8pm Thurs., Jan. 13. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to Community Health Network Foundation or St. Vincent Hospice or a charity of your choice.
