Charlene Townsend
Went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2019. She lived to be 74 years old. Charlene was born on October 5, 1945 to the late Clarence and Nellie Brumbelow and was raised in West Columbia, Texas. Her father gave her a love for horses. She loved riding their horses together. She worked cutting horses and barrel raced in rodeos. She loved being part of her horseback riding troop called a Posse then. She also clogged. She enjoyed sewing and made a number of dresses to give away to those in need. She and Charlie would make matching shirts and wear them for fun. They shared a deep love and friendship over the years. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Charles (Buddy); daughter Rona (Brian) Jessen; grandchildren Faith (Matthew) and Jacob (Jamie). Faith and Matthew have two daughters, Eliana and Hollyn. Jacob and Jamie have a son James. Charlene was a member of Hope Community church. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Sun. Dec. 8 at Hope Community Church, Brownsburg.
