Charles C. Allen, 96, Brownsburg, passed away on Aug. 9, 2015. He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor and a US Navy Veteran. He worked as a senior lab technician for Eli Lilly & Company for 32 years. He was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church, Brownsburg American Legion Post 331, VFW, Pearl Harbor Survivors, and the Hendricks County 40 & 8. Survivors include his wife Betty McIntyre-Allen, stepson John (Dottie) McIntyre; 3 granddaughters; 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Bonnie Allen; son Charles W. Allen; sister Julia Snapp; brothers Delbert, Gene and Dale Allen. Visitation will be from 10:30 am to 1 pm Fri. Aug. 14 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1 pm. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Sheltering Wings, P.O. Box 92, Danville, IN 46122.
