Charles E. Gaffney
86, Brownsburg, passed away January 21, 2022. He was born January 7, 1936 in Hoopeston, IL. He was a US Army and Marine veteran. A truck driver for Commercial Lovelace, Underwood and Marathon Electric, he retired in 1999 after 38 years of service. He also worked as a greeter at Walmart after retirement. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. His parents Earl and Edna Gaffney, brother Don Gaffney and grandson Brian Gaffney preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Phyllis Gaffney of 67 years; Douglas Earl (Mary) Gaffney, Mark Alan (Patty) Gaffney, Rodney Lee (Tammy) Gaffney, Renae Lynn (Chris) Clark and James Brian (Lorie) Gaffney; brother Joe (Terri) Gaffney; sister Marilyn (Sam) Coon; sister-in-law Mary Ann Gaffney; twelve grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Memorial visitation will be from 10am to 11am Saturday Feb. 5 at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 701 E. Tilden, Brownsburg, IN 46112 with memorial services there at 11am.
