Charles Elmer Marsh
age 88, Brownsburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Oct. 15, 2012. Charles was born Sept. 26, 1924 to Albert Russell Marsh and Gladys McPeak Marsh, both preceded him in death. He was a life long resident of Hendricks County, retiring from the Brownsburg School Corporation in 1985. In his youth, he worked for his uncle Raymond Dickey at Dickey's Market in Brownsburg as a butcher. He was a WWII Army Veteran and took great pride in his service to his country. He is survived by his former wife Elizabeth Kopecky; daughters Charlotte (Leon) Monnett, Ruth (Russell) Gray; sons Dennis, Dale (Janet Edwards), and Brian Marsh; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sister Marjorie Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his brother Russell Marsh. The family expresses special thanks to Brownsburg Health and Rehabilitation for their exemplary care in his final days. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Thurs. Oct. 18 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 10am Fri. Oct. 19. Burial will be at Bethesda Cemetery.
