Charles E. Ratliff

99, Brownsburg, passed away October 23, 2023.  He was a US Army veteran of WWII, serving in the European African Theater from 1943-45.   Charles received his Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and was employed by Eli Lilly Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1987.  He continued his relationship with Eli Lilly Co. for several years after as a consulting engineer.  He served several terms on and was a former President of the Brownsburg Town Council.  His memberships included Brownsburg American Legion and the Rotary Club.  His parents Clarence and May Ratliff preceded him in death.  Survivors include his children John Ratliff (wife Ronda) and Lee Ann Magnusson (husband Lloyd); mother of his children Judith Ratliff; sister Roberta Graham (husband Jim); four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Memorial visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Monday October 30 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with memorial services there at 1pm.  Committal services will follow at Lizton K of P Cemetery.
