Charles Robert Vaughn, 78, Brownsburg, passed away Jan. 17, 2018. He had been a bus driver for Trailways and was a US Army veteran. He was a member of Abundant Life House of Mercy Church, Danville, the Brownsburg American Legion and the Brownsburg Masonic Lodge. He also served as the Deputy State Commissioner for Junior Olympic Amateur Softball Association. He was preceded in death by son Charles Kenton Vaughn and brother Gary Vaughn. Survivors include wife Pauline Vaughn; daughters Patricia (Ron) Carrington, Brenda (Willard) Barnett and Laura (David) Thompson; stepsons Jimmy Forehand and Mark Forehand; stepdaughters Barbara Jones, Karen Sullivan, Paula Foster, Janet Howchins, and Regina Davison; brothers Terry Lee Vaughn and Tony Vaughn; sister Beverly Rose; 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10am to 12 noon Tuesday Jan. 23 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 12 noon. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens.
