Charles E. "Chuck" Williams
Age 77, passed away at his home in rural Lebanon on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. He was born on Jan. 7, 1937 at home in Prairieton, Vigo Co. IN to Phillip Merl and Juanita (Campbell) Williams. He was reared and educated in Vigo Co. and graduated from Honey Creek HS in Terre Haute. Chuck served in the Army Reserves from 1959-1965. He was married to Donna Miller on Aug. 3, 1968 in LaPorte Co. Chuck worked for 5 years at Stran Steel in Terre Haute. He later worked in Security for the State of Indiana. He worked for GM at Allison Gas Turbine and retired on March 1, 1993 from Plant #5 after 19 ½ years of service. In retirement he worked for Nat'l Car Rental and then enjoyed working at the State Fairgrounds for various trade shows. Chuck was very passionate about his volunteer Pro Life work. He was an active member of Boone Co. Right to Life for 36 years. Chuck served on the Board of Directors of Boone Co. ARC for over 10 years. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church, Brownsburg. Chuck is survived by his wife and one son, Brian of Indianapolis. He is also survived by four sisters, Wilma Morge, Norma Frazier, Mary Ann Salin, all of Terre Haute, and Helen Warken-Andres of Cory, IN; one brother, Benny Williams of Terre Haute; brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Robert, Russell, and Donald. Visitation will be from 2-5pm Sun. Nov. 30 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Funeral services will be at 11am Mon. Dec. 1 at Bethesda Baptist Church with calling one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Charles memory may be made to Boone Co. Right to Life, P.O. Box 264, Lebanon, IN 46052 or to Bethesda Baptist Church, Brownsburg, IN.
