Obituary

Chloé Mae Slayton

31, of Brownsburg, who faced a long battle with cancer with incredible strength and courage before passing away on June 16th, 2026. Chloé was born in Sarasota, Florida to Richard and Deborah (Wilson) Slayton on September 23rd, 1994.

To know Chloé was to know how fiercely she loved her daughter, Annalynne. She was an extraordinary mother, pouring her entire heart into raising her daughter and making sure she always felt adored. Chloé cherished the quiet life, finding her peace as a homebody. She had a gift for art and design and a love for organization, constantly curating and perfecting the apartment she shared with her fiancé, Annalynne, and beloved cat Oreo.

Chloé was also an avid writer and enjoyed journaling. She was a pen pal to people all over the world, sending pieces of her heart across oceans in envelopes. Though she loved the comfort of home, her spirit traveled globally through the letters she crafted so beautifully.

Chloé loved bookstores, yard sales, flea markets, thrift stores, and getting great deals with coupons. She had a booth at Gizmos Galleria in Brownsburg for a while, which she really enjoyed updating weekly.

There was no one more genuine than Chloé. She carried a rare, beautiful fearlessness, choosing to meet life’s hardships with a strength that never failed. Right up until the end, she kept us smiling with her wonderful sense of humor. Having her in our lives was an absolute blessing, and she leaves us as the most vibrant, hilarious, and unforgettable person our family could have ever loved.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son Atlas Tolen and father Richard Slayton. Chloé is survived by her daughter Annalynne Genesis Moore; mother Deborah Slayton; fiancé Todd Tolen; siblings Sadie Slayton, Wesley Slayton, Amie Lambert, Casey Slayton, Tyler Slayton, and Cody Slayton; nieces and nephews Ivy Reese, Braden Pittman, Lily Lambert, Emry Lambert, Maddie Slayton, Eleanor Pittman, Ricky Slayton, Ivan Slayton, Vaeda Pittman, Carter Slayton, and Luie Lambert; along with many other extended family members and life long friends.

A celebration of Chloé’s life will be held at a later date.
