Cindy Lou Corn
61, Brownsburg, passed away March 1, 2018. Cindy was born in Angola, IN on May 23, 1956, the daughter of Charles A. and Betty Louise (Baker) Corn. She is survived by her older brother Jeffrey Albert Corn and Mark Allen Corn, and her mother Betty. Other survivors include nephew Caleb Corn; nieces Cara Attride (Corn) and Bethany Corn. Cindy moved to the north side of Indianapolis at a young age and then the family moved to Brownsburg where she lived her life. She was a member of the Brownsburg SDA Church which she attended regularly. The church was the focus of Cindy's life. Here she found friendship and shared faith. She started her spiritual preparation Friday nights by ushering in the Sabbath with spiritual music and spending quiet time with her mother. She always had a sitting room next to her bedroom where she spent time reading, crocheting, and watching her favorite shows. She spent many hours in volunteer work. She assisted in her local library for several years, crocheted blankets for Riley Hospital kids and gave projects to her family. Cindy loved the Indianapolis Colts, not missing a weekend TV game. Cindy collected dolls, starting in the 1950's. Her brother Jeff submitted her name to the Indiana Historical Society who placed her volunteer accomplishments on the wall of significant people. She loved crossword puzzles. Family was the core of Cindy's life, enjoying birthday parties, graduations, weddings and various family events. Cindy's mom was paramount to her life's happiness and comfort. As a tireless and relentless caretaker, Betty led Cindy into a fulfilling and meaningful life. We will miss you Cindy. Visitation will be from 4-7pm Friday March 9 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 10am Sat. March 10. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery.Visits: 0
