Clara M. Nichols
85, Indianapolis, formally of Avon and Pittsboro, passed away on Sept. 27, 2011. Born June 21, 1926 in Lusk, IL, she was the only child of Bertha Rose Cochran and Arlie Cochran. She married Henry C. Nichols Sr. on Dec. 20, 1942 and he survives. Clara was a loving mother and wife. She worked for a short time at RCA Rockville Rd and Merchants Bank W 16th St. Other survivors include daughter Sandra Kay (Tom) Leach, Henry Butch (Hannah) Nichols Jr., 5 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thurs. Sept. 29 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 10 a.m. Fri. Sept. 30. Entombment will be at Lincoln Memory Gardens.
