Dale R. Miller
December 9th, 1935 – October 25th, 2026
Dale Robert Miller, 90, passed away peacefully on October 25th, 2026, in his home and surrounded by his children. He was born December 9 th, 1935, to Harold and Elma Miller, in Green Springs, OH. He grew up there, as one of ten children, on a large farm, where he learned the values and work ethic that later helped to a successful career as a contractor in the natural gas distribution industry. Dale’s work history began in the family business, Don W. Miller Inc. (now Miller Pipeline, LLC.) where he worked alongside brothers Karl, Paul and founder Don. His career with the company spanned over 50 years, ending with his retirement from his position as CEO, in 2004. During his “golden years”, Dale enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motor cycle, watching Nascar races, and spending winters with his wife, Judy, in Mt. Dora, FL. What he really enjoyed most, however, was spending time with his family, his 7 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. Throughout his life, Dale had a positive influence on those around him, and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by spouse, Judith Elaine Miller (Marcha), parents Harold and Elma Miller, and 8 siblings.
He is survived by children, Kevin (Lisa) Miller, Brenda (Jess) Woodruff, Keith (Shannon) Miller, grandchildren Nathan Miller, Megan Poleon, Colby and Riley Woodruff, Carly Huber, Cory and Samantha Miller, along with 10 great-grandchildren and brother, Karl Miller.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 9th, from 11:30 to 3:00, at the Country Club of Indianapolis, 2801 Country Club Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46234. Guests are invited to share memories and celebrate Dale’s life. Food and drinks will be served.
