Dale L. Peiffer

95, Indianapolis, passed away on July 7, 2022.  He was born in Elizabethtown, PA on March 21, 1927 to Isaac and Harriet Peiffer.  He took leadership roles in Boy Scouts.  Dale served in the US Navy from 1945 to 1946 on the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier.  He graduated from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor's degree and married Betty Kling in 1948.  He taught Biology and Math in West York, PA Flat Rock, MI and Denver, PA.  He later went on to work as a manager for Wickes Lumber in Wanatah, IN for over 20 years.  Dale was a member of the Masonic lodge for over 50 years, the Scottish Rite, Brownsburg American Legion and the Brownsburg Lion's Club.  He also volunteered his time at Eagle Creek Park.  His wife Betty Peiffer preceded him in death.  Survivors include his sons Jeff Peiffer, Michael Peiffer, Stephen Peiffer; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  Interment will be in Mt. Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown, PA.
