Rev. Daniel J. Kacer
Age, 77, Brownsburg, passed away May 8, 2013. He worked as a youth counselor at the YMCA for 10 years and then served as a Lutheran pastor for 30 years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church Brownsburg and the Rotary Club. Survivors include his wife Barbara Kacer; children Michael (Tacy) Kacer, Yvonne (Larry) Higashi, and Erika Kacer; brother Michael (Janet) Kacer Sr.; sister Amelia Canner; grandchildren Alexandra, Tanner, Rachel, and Kacer. He enjoyed golf, the Chicago Bears, and loved Indiana Hoosiers Basketball. Visitation will be 5:30-8pm Sunday May 12 and 12 noon to 1pm Mon. May 13 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church with funeral services beginning at 1pm. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org or Concordia Theological Seminary c/o Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 701 E. Tilden, Brownsburg, IN 46112.
