David B. Fitz
89, Indianapolis, formerly of Cedar Park, Texas, passed away March 25, 2021. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa son of Verl and Blanche Fitz. Dave received both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Nebraska. He worked 30 years for the US Department of Agriculture as an agricultural marketing specialist, retiring in 1988. After retirement, he was an usher for the Round Rock Express Baseball organization and enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Throughout his life he was active in public service in various ways. Dave was an elder in the Presbyterian church, a member of Rotary, legislative liaison for NARFE in central Texas, and on the MUD board of his community in Cedar Park, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Cindy Long. Survivors include his wife of 62 years Helen Fitz; brother Donald (Helen) Fitz; daughter Karen (William) Jefferies; son-in-law Paul Long; grandchildren Chris Long, Cory (Paige) Long, Adam (Grace) Jefferies, and Michael (Kennedy) Jefferies; great grandchildren Fitz Long and Evelyn Jefferies. Private family services will be held.
