David J. Glover, 83, of Brownsburg, Indiana was called home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2026. He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky and moved to Indianapolis, where he started his career at Allison Transmission in 1962 and retired after 32 years. At a young age, he was promoted to Senior Supervisor.
In addition, he also owned and operated Glover’s Furniture from 1970-1976. After retirement from Allison, he started P&C Total Maintenance and did painting and home improvement projects until 2012.
Bethesda Baptist was his church home for many years and more recently Traders Point Christian Church.
David was widely known and regarded for his generosity in helping others with projects, financial needs, advice, or encouragement. If there was something that needed to be done, not only did he know how to do it, but you could count on him to get it done.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Glover and Sally Ann Glover; and three brothers, Roy Glover, Floyd Glover, and Delmer (Nell) Glover.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Sandra Glover (married on November 1, 1963); children Julie (Don) Thompson and Gary Glover; and two sisters, Betty (Paris) Kingrey and Dorothy (Curtis) Kingrey; and one sister-in-law Barbara Glover.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th from 11 am to 1 pm at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services to follow at 1 pm. David will then be laid to rest in Salem Cemetery, Zionsville.
