David J. White Sr.

84, of Pittsboro, passed away on September 25th, 2026. He was born in Indianapolis to his parents Clifford and Hilda (Sarles) White on June 29th, 1942. David led a life of service: proudly entering the United States Navy in 1960 following his high school graduation. After his military service, David then began a 40 year career as a respected electrician with IBEW Local 481. He then moved on to work for Allison Transmission, as well as C. F. Roark for multiple years. David never slowed down throughout life, continuing to offer his services and time to many in the community as much as he could. He and his wife were longtime members of Bethesda Baptist Church, and current attending members of Faith Baptist Church in Danville.

David was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Dixie Jean, Diane Branham, Bob White, and Ron White. He is survived by his beloved wife Betty White; daughter Tammi (Mark) Gant; son David J. (Beverly) White Jr.; brothers Harry White and Tony White; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th from 3 pm to 4 pm at Faith Baptist Church, 3860 E Main St, Danville, IN 46122, with funeral services to follow at 4 pm. Private graveside services will be held in Grantsburg, Indiana.
