Avon, IN, born May 24, 1938 passed away on Oct. 5, 2012 in her home. She is survived by son Jeffrey Simpson of San Diego, CA and daughter Julie Douglas of Avon. Also surviving are grandchildren, Chelsea Douglas, Christopher Simpson and Joshua Simpson; sister, Shirley Simmons. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Athens Chapter 75 of Crawfordsville and Avon United Methodist Church, where she was active in many church activities. She was also an active member of Krannert Park Euchre Club. Funeral services will be 3pm Wed. Oct 10 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation from 1-3pm.
