Dennis James "Stoney" Burke
Age 63, Indianapolis, passed away Oct. 28, 2013. He had served in the Army National Guard and retired from FedEx after 28 years. He was an active member of Faith Baptist Church, Avon, and had a passion for the Awana program. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Andrie, brother William Burke, and grandchildren Matthew Raymond Marshall and Isabelle Ruth Demaree. Survivors include his wife Peggy Burke; sons Eric Burke and Alan (Tracy) Burke; stepdaughters Deborah (Aaron) Demaree and Jane (Ryan) McFarland; 10 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Thurs. Oct. 31 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Funeral services will be 10am Fri. Nov. 1 at Faith Baptist Church. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church Building Fund or the Awana Fund or American Cancer Society.
