Donald Eugene Fosnot, 78, of Brownsburg, IN, passed peacefully in his home on July 22, 2018. He was born on June 17, 1940, in Madison, Wisconsin. He graduated from Madison East High School in 1958, earned an Associate Degree from Madison Technical School, and received a Bachelor's Degree from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Don also proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964. In 1960 Don met the love of his life, Janet Lou Hershberger, in Madison. They wed on Aug. 1, 1965. Don had an esteemed career in telephony, working at Automatic Electric, AT&T and Commonwealth Edison in the Chicagoland area. He retired in 2002. Don and Janet's greatest joy was raising their two sons. As a family they enjoyed traveling the country and attending various school, sports, and church activities. In his later years, Don enjoyed spending time with his four grandchildren, attending their sports, church, and musical events, traveling, and attending church. Don's Christian faith also played a large role in his life. He served faithfully for many years at the United Methodist Church in Batavia, IL. After moving to Indiana in 2013, he and Janet joined Calvary United Methodist Church in Brownsburg. He is survived by his wife, Janet, son Timothy and his wife Kristine and their four children, son Kenneth and his wife Lisa, brother Richard Fosnot and his wife Karla. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Balin and his father, James Fosnot. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Friday July 27, 2018, at Calvary United Methodist Church, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1pm. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Watseka, IL at 11am (EST) Sat. July 28. Memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association at
