Donald P. Mason
82, Speedway, formerly of Brownsburg, passed away June 24, 2020. Donald was a veteran of the US Air Force and retired from GM Allison Engine, where he had been an inspector. He was a member of the UAW and the Bluegrass Club. His parents Paul and Bernice Mason, and a son, Michael Mason, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Freeda Mason; children Scott Mason and Shawna Shufflebarger; brother Shirley Mason; sister Carma Bates; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Tuesday June 30 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1pm. Burial with military honors will be in Brownsburg Cemetery. In compliance with current requirements and restrictions, guests are asked to wear masks and observe social distancing.
