Donald Dale Smoot

64, Brownsburg, passed away on January 31, 2022.  He was a US Army National Guard veteran.  Donald drove for Schneider Trucking for many years.  He loved to fish and enjoyed the beauty of nature.  It brought him great joy to fix a fresh vase of flowers for his loving wife Celia.  Donald had many great childhood memories of living on the farm at 56 ^th and Guion Rd.  He was preceded in death by his father Jay Smoot.  Survivors include his wife Celia T. Smoot; children Emilee Smoot, Jacob Smoot; mother Ruby Smoot; brother Ronald Smoot; sister Deborah O'Brien; 2 grandchildren; mother-in-law Florencia Taina; brother and sister-in-law's Guimo Taina, Marcial Taina, Bernardo Taina, Elizabeth Taina, Noemi Taina; the entire Taina family and special friend Yanire Jensen.  Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm Sat. Feb. 5 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services at 12 pm.  Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery.
