Donna Helton Benefiel, 81, Brownsburg, born Oct. 23, 1935 in Greenwood, went to Heaven June 9, 2017 surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Benefiel, mother Margaret Scalf, son Richard Helton. Survivors include son Christopher Helton; daughters Pam Helton Herrel, Ronda Helton Prater; stepson David Benefiel; stepdaughters Diana Benefiel, Eldora Benefiel, Debbie Benefiel; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was a long time resident of Brownsburg and a member of Cornerstone Christian Church. She loved writing, singing, sewing, traveling, and cooking. She was known as Mom or Grandma to all the kids of Brownsburg. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Tues. June 13 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services at Cornerstone Christian Church, Brownsburg Wed. June 14 at 11 am. Interment will be in Brownsburg Cemetery.
