Donna J. Coulson
The gates of heaven opened on May 12th to welcome a new angel, Donna Jane Coulson. Donna was born on September 1, 1951, in Sullivan, Indiana. She is survived by her parents, Don and Nila Wilson, her husband, Jim Coulson, sons Robert Coulson, Travis Coulson (Kristine), and Ryan Coulson, grandchildren Max and Grace Coulson, Jennifer and Trevor Coulson, and her sister, Denise Alm. Donna loved the Lord, and she and Jim enjoyed a loving marriage for more than 47 years. Her sons and grandchildren were the sunshine in her life. Her family and a multitude of friends, whom she had touched with her radiant love, kindness, and positive attitude throughout her life, visited her during her last weeks at the home she loved so much in Brownsburg. Donna entered the Banking industry as a teller in 1983 at First Bank and Trust in Speedway, Indiana. Through the years there were many times that the bank changed hands and she always stayed with the new organizations as she was always a valuable asset. Donna worked at National City Bank for many years until joining Lincoln Federal Savings and Loan in Plainfield, Indiana. There she established an operations department and helped put Lincoln Federal on the map. Lincoln was later bought by First Merchants Bank out of Muncie, Indiana where she later retired in 2013. Donna and her devoted husband and the love of her life, Jim, were able to visit with family and many friends in Florida and Arizona in January and February of this year. She especially enjoyed the past six years traveling with her husband on business trips and vacations, get-aways with friends to many enjoyable locations, and fun shopping trips with her sister and girlfriends. She loved going shopping, reading, gardening, decorating, cooking and entertaining at her home and she enjoyed her weekend trips to French Lick Hotel. She loved playing Euchre and always welcomed everyone with open arms. A Celebration of Life will be held at Connection Pointe Christian Church in Brownsburg, on Saturday May 20th, 2017 at 11:30 am, with service starting at 12:00pm with Pastor Steve Reeves officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society in her name or to Connection Pointe Christian Church, Brownsburg.
