Doris Vivian Goode, 98, of Brownsburg, Indiana passed away on February 11, 2020 with her children by her side.  Doris was born in Bloomington, Indiana on March 10, 1921 to the late Dennis and Zola Deem.  She graduated from George Washington High School in 1938. Doris married Gale Goode December 30, 1944 and served faithfully as a pastor's wife for over 40 years.  Gale and Doris pastored churches in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and North Carolina in the Church of the Nazarene.

Doris enjoyed entertaining and cooking for her family and friends. She loved traveling with Gale to visit her children and grandchildren and sisters.  She was an avid reader and worked in libraries in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana, most recently at the Danville Public Library, where she retired at age 80.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gale Goode and daughter Nancy Barth.  Doris is survived by son, Randall Goode (MaryEllen), son, Timothy Goode, daughter, Cindy Neil (David), and daughter, Kathy Gambill (Geron), ten grandchildren, Jeffrey Goode, Tiffany Goode, Jennifer Brown, Erin Bratcher, Eric Gambill, Ryan Johnson, Allie DeYoung, Courtney Parmley, Kyle Johnson and Mackenzie Neil and eleven great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg, Indiana, viewing from 10:00am until 12:00pm, funeral service at noon and burial following at Floral Park Cemetery.
