Dorothy Mae (Mendenhall) Brewer, 85, was called to her heavenly home February 13, 2016 at IU West Hospital, Avon, Indiana. She was born on May 8, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Raymond and Mildred (Conley) Mendenhall. Dorothy married Donald Eugene Brewer on January 28, 1950. They celebrated 42 years together until his death in 1993. She was a homemaker. Dorothy is survived by her son, Donald Eugene Brewer, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Nancy of Avon, Indiana; daughter, Judith Mae Brewer, of Avon, Indiana; a sister, Ruth Mendenhall Kenney Sacksteder; grandchildren, Shannon (Ron) Emmert, Justin (Lisa) Brewer, Lance (Allison) Brewer; great grandchildren, Eli, Evan, Hudson, Isabella, Jackson and Aubree. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; brother, Donald Mendenhall. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Friday, February 19, 2016 in Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Dayton, Ohio, with funeral services there at 1 pm.
