Dorothy Jean Miller, 93, of Brownsburg, IN, died on October 19, 2023.
Dorothy was born on December 14, 1929 in Huntington, IN to Carl and Irene Stahl. She had 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Dorothy met her husband, Robert Miller, in Huntington and they were married on July 22, 1950. From Huntington, they had moves to both Texas and Germany while Bob was in the US Airforce. After the Air Force, they settled in Indianapolis and made a home for their growing family. Together, they raised 4 children. Dorothy was a Homemaker while raising their children, and later worked as a cook for St. Gabriel's Catholic School, and Junior High #108 in IPS. After retirement, they moved to Brownsburg, IN. She was a member of St. Malachy Church in Brownsburg.
Dorothy was a wonderful cook and baker. She loved homemaking, sewing, cooking, reading, playing cards, working jigsaw puzzles, travel, IU Basketball, Colts, Pacers, TV game shows and westerns, and the color Lavender. Her family was her Biggest Joy. She will be missed.
Dorothy was proceeded in death by her Parents - Carl and Irene Stahl, Husband - Robert Miller, Infant Son - Andrew Miller, Son - Randy Miller, Sisters - Helen Timmons, Betty Stahl, Mary Nowels, Nancy Karriger; Brothers - Earl Stahl, Max Stahl, Bobby Stahl.
Dorothy is survived by her children - Deb (Bill) Robertson, Mike (Beth) Miller and Pam Haines; Grandchildren - Amy (Alex) Kingman, Patrick (Meagan) Miller, Shelly (Jeffrey) Bergman, Ian (Edana) Haines, and Kristi (Brian) Griffith; Great Grandchildren - Sage Haines, Fiona and Lyla Kingman, Sophia and Lilly Bergman, and Etta and Annie Griffith.
Visitation will be at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, IN at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 18, 2023, with Funeral Services there at Noon. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. The family has asked, in Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Ken Anderson Alliance at
