Douglas Keith Hensley
Passed away on July 23rd at Meadow Lakes Community, Mooresville, IN at the age of 77. He was born to William and Bertha (Murray) Hensley in Waverly, TN on July 11, 1934. They preceded him in death along with brothers LaMarr, Bobby, Donald and mother of his child, Barbara (Douglas) Hensley. Keith retired from Roark Welding and worked at Stewart Warner and Aerospace Engine Parts Group for a few years each. He was an avid camper for many years and belonged to Hendricks Co. Flambeaus and Lazy Sams, the NCHA Camping Clubs. Keith served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Cartersburg Community Church. Survivors include wife Opal (Dorrell), daughter Karen Hibbard (Scott), step-children Gene Redding (Tess), Vicki Reid (Marvin) and grandchildren Zach, Luke, and Nick Hibbard, Alex Redding (Arden), Danielle, Heather and Ashlee Reid along with great-grandchildren Keegan, Sydney and Ryan. Visitation will be 4-8pm Tues. July 26 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services 10am Wed. July 27, with burial immediately following in Brownsburg Cemetery. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to Cartersburg Community Church, 3990 Cartersburg Rd., Cartersburg, IN 46168.
