Drextle L. Newsom, 81, Brownsburg, passed away Jan.5, 2016. He was a PGA Professional at Harrison Lake Country Club, Columbus, IN. He then co-founded the Golf Club of Indiana in 1973. He was married to Barbara Dreyer for 35 years. A daughter Diana Newsom preceded him in death. Survivors include children Cynthia (Thomas) Adams, Adam (Andrea) Newsom, and Patricia (Brian) Snyder; half-brothers Newton Newsom and Jack Faultness; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A memorial celebration will be held on Sunday Jan. 10 from 2-6pm at the Golf Club of Indiana, 6905 S. CR 525 E, Lebanon, IN.
